Getting a program started and making effective changes in your school travel routes requires the commitment of many people. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Safe Routes to School Toolkit describes how to convene a task force, identify action steps, find funding and conduct a program that will encourage students to safely walk and bike to school.
